Maalkons is an ancient raag producing a tranquil atmosphere. Maalkons is the principal raag with a family of 5 wives and 8 sons. The wives are Raag Gandhari, Dhanasari (also known as Andhreyaki), Gundakri, Srihathi and Malasri. The sons are Raag Maru, Maveda, Varvali, Mistanga, Candrakya, Bhramara, Nandana and Khokkara.
