Pandit Milind Chittal (b. July 19, 1959) is a distinguished Indian classical vocalist, celebrated for his versatile performances and mastery of Hindustani classical music. He is the son of the eminent Kannada writer Yashwant Chittal. Milind received rigorous training for 12 years under the legendary Pandit Firoz Dastur of the Kirana Gharana. His musical journey has also been enriched under the guidance of Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan of the Rampur-Sahaswan Gharana and Pandit Dinkar Kaikini of the Agra Gharana, contributing to his nuanced and emphatic style.

Known for his sonorous voice and remarkable range, Pandit Milind Chittal has captivated audiences at prestigious music festivals such as the Sawai Gandharva Festival in Pune, the Harballabh Sangeet Sammelan in Jalandhar, the Ustad Amir Khan Festival in Indore, and the Saptak Festival in Ahmedabad. His powerful and evocative performances have made him one of the foremost vocalists in the realm of Indian classical music.

Throughout his illustrious career, Milind Chittal has been the recipient of numerous accolades, including winning the All India Radio music competition, the India Culture League, and the Kalidas Sangeet Spardha. His artistic contributions extend beyond the concert stage; he has recorded three cassettes and compact discs with prominent music labels and has provided playback for several television serials and documentaries, including Shyam Benegal’s iconic Discovery of India.

In 2015, he was nominated for Best Devotional Album at the Global Indian Film Awards, further cementing his reputation as a versatile and accomplished artist.
