Naseem Begum (1936–1971) was one of Pakistan's most celebrated playback singers, renowned for her deeply emotional voice and sorrowful film songs, earning her the title "The Tragedy Queen." Rising to fame in the late 1950s, she won four Nigar Awards and became a defining voice of Pakistani cinema. Trained in classical music by Mukhtar Begum, she also recorded the iconic patriotic anthem "Aye Rah-e-Haq Ke Shaheedo." In recognition of her contributions to music and her support during the 1965 Indo-Pak war, she received Pakistan's Pride of Performance award in 1965.
